Sustainability

A stronger environment means a healthier place for all of us to live. That's why we're taking measurable steps to create sustainable products and operations that consume fewer resources over time and have less impact on our critical natural habitats.

How we show up

Taking care of our environment

We continuously seek new ways to reduce our environmental footprint while maximizing our positive impact on the world around us. Our environmental programs are designed to:

  • Reduce our waste to landfill through waste reduction, material reuse, and industrial recycling partnerships.
  • Increase energy efficiency in our operations.
  • Procure renewable electricity for our operations.
  • Develop long-lasting products that have a minimal adverse effect on the environment.
  • Develop durable and energy-efficient windows and doors.

Reducing our footprint

Our commitment to environmental responsibility has led us to pursue clean energy in several ways:

Xcel Energy's Renewable*Connect Program
We're partnering with Xcel Energy to invest in renewable energy sources that power five of our Minnesota facilities with 100% renewable electricity* and support further adoption of renewable energy across our operations.

*Renewable energy certificates (RECs) sourced from Xcel Energy’s Renewable*Connect program comprised of energy from wind and solar sources.
